Happy Valentine’s Day, Sad Shoppers!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all…

I thought this is interesting on your search for the perfect gift for your significant other.

"Study participants who watched a sadness-inducing video clip offered to pay nearly four times as much money to buy a water bottle than a group that watched an emotionally neutral clip."

When people get sad they tend to think about themselves the study suggests.

I personally found this to be very funny…

"Certainly, the advertising industry knows that," Charlesworth, citing as an example a 1970s McDonald’s fast-food jingle, "You deserve a break today."

There you go, single shoppers, go out while everyone is having dinner with their loved ones and by yourself something nice because you deserve a break today.

Does this disprove money can’t buy you happiness? If it couldn’t, why do people try?

Maybe people say that and don’t believe it.
