China is Second Biggest Exporter

Some people many find this upsetting as much American spite towards China has emerged the past few years. People often worry about the trade deficit but trade deficits are not a problem and that could be a whole different post.

It is being reported by the WTO that China surpassed the U.S. as the second largest exporter. This is good because it is often in our best interest to have other countries succeed. The more we trade with them the less they want to build bombs.

Here is more from the Times Online:

"Heavily influenced by the turmoil in financial markets and the sharp economic slowdown in leading western economies, global merchandise trade is forecast to rise by 4.5 per cent this year, against last year’s 5.5 per cent.

In 2007, buoyed by strong performances by dynamic emerging economies such as China. India, Brazil, and Russia, world merchandise trade in value terms increased by 15 per cent to $13.6 trillion (£6.8 trillion).

Emerging countries accounted for more than half of the world’s trade growth last year, Mr Low added."

This is all facts that with trade even when we face a financial downturn in the United States more countries can pick up the pace with trade.
